The Grecian Computer is a high-difficulty math puzzle that challenges solvers to rotate the dials so that all of the columns coming out from the center add up to 42. The image to the left shows the Grecian Computer in its solved state.
Unfortunately, a few of the Grecian Computer puzzles were printed with an 8 on the bottom dial that should have been a 3. This makes the task of making each column add up to 42 impossible.
ALTERNATE OBJECTIVE:
If you have a Grecian Computer that has this misprint, you can still enjoy your puzzle by looking for an arrangement of dials so that all columns add up to 42 and one adds up to 47. We’ll give you a clue: the column that adds to 47 includes the number 8!
